Courtesy of my wife, Beth, here is the first iteration of a map showing the wineries in the Livermore Valley that are currently making Cabernet Franc as well as some of the more prominent vineyard sites. For any mission to be a success, you have to have an end-goal in mind. For the Livermore Valley, success looks like 1500 more acres of Cab Franc, the addition of medium-sized wineries to the stable of creative (albeit - mostly small) winemakers already working to make magic from unruly nature, and the realization among wine lovers, restaurateurs, and wineshop owners that the finest place in California to get Cab Franc is the place we call home.
